Johnny Knox American Idol Audition

During his American Idol audition, Johnny sang an original song called “Stay”. He also brought along a loaf of sourdough bread that he baked himself. “I love baking bread,” Johnny said. “It’s kind of like my therapy. I thought it would be a nice gesture to bring some bread for the judges.”

The judges loved his bread and his song. “I think you’re only going to get better,” Katy Perry said. “We need to go from sourdough starter to a loaf.”

“You’ve got something really cool about you.” Luke Bryan added. “You have a great voice and a great look,” Lionel Richie agreed. They all voted yes and gave him a golden ticket to Hollywood.

Knox was overjoyed by the outcome and referred to the moment as surreal. “It was surreal,” Johnny said. “I couldn’t believe it was happening. It was such an honor to sing for them and get their feedback.”
