Thuso Mbedu Biography

Born in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, Thuso Mbedu is a South African actress. She was nominated for an International Emmy for her role in the telenovela Is’Thunzi. In 2021, Mbedu starred in the Amazon Video limited series The Underground Railroad.

She is also known for starring Kitso Medupe in the soap opera Scandal!, Nosisa in Isibaya, and Boni Khumalo in Saints and Sinners. Nonetheless, she is set to star in Gina Prince-Bythewood’s historical epic The Woman King. Mbedu is currently employed in the position of a junior production coordinator, producer, and anchor at Joburgtoday.tv in Johannesburg, Gauteng.
