A native of Virginia, Derrick Campana is an American animal orthotist and reality TV personality based in Sterling, Virginia. He stars in the reality tv show The Wizard of Paws airing on BYU TV. The show was originally released in April 2020. As an Orthotist, Derrick creates prosthetic limbs for pets and sanctuary animals.
Derrick, a Sterling Orthotist who founded Animal OrthoCare in the year 2005, appeared on the first episode of the new Animal Planet series “Dodo Heroes.”
He is among a handful of people who specialize in designing orthotics (devices like braces or splints) and prosthetics (artificial limbs) for animals. Derrick is now building the company is to make these products even more accessible.
