Daniel Abrams a native of Manhattan, New York is an American media entrepreneur, author, legal commentator, and television personality. He is the current host of the prime-time show Dan Abrams Live on NewsNation. He also hosts The Dan Abrams Show: Where Politics Meets The Law that airs on SiriusXM’s P.O.T.U.S. channel.

Abrams also serves as the Chief Legal Analyst of ABC News. He is also the creator and host of Court Cam. In addition, has previously hosted A&E cable network’s show Live PD and anchored Nightline. He was the chief legal correspondent and analyst for NBC News and the general manager of MSNBC. Abrams covered the O. J. Simpson murder trial during his time as a reporter for Court TV.

Dan Abrams Career

Dan began his career in 1994 working for Court TV as a reporter. Among the stories that he covered during his time here are the O. J. Simpson murder trial and the assisted suicide trials of Dr. Jack Kevorkian. He became NBC News’s general assignment correspondent in 1997 and in 1999 a Chief Legal Correspondent.

In 2001, Dan got his own show on MSNBC called The Abrams Report began airing. Dan became the General Manager of MSNBC on June 12, 2006. He left MSNBC in October 2007 to put more focus on his new show called Live with Dan Abrams. The show was later renamed Verdict with Dan Abrams. After the end of the show in 2008, Dan joined NBC’s Today Show as a substitute anchor.

In 2011 he joined ABC as a Chief Legal Analyst. He also became a substitute anchor on Good Morning America. From NBC, Dan joined ABC as a Chief Legal Affairs Anchor and anchor of Nightline in 2013. Abrams became the host of A&E’s show Live PD in October 2016. He started hosting the Dan Abrams Live show on Newsnation on September 27, 2021.

On the 29th of July, 2009, Abrams launched Gossip Cop together with Michael Lewittes which was later acquired by Gateway Blend. Later that year he launched a news site called Mediate. In 2010 he launched Geekosystem. He has been able to develop more websites including; Styleite, SportsGrid, The Mary Sue, LawNewz and Whiskey Raiders.

In 2018, Abrams started Ambo TV a Christian TV streaming service. In March 2010, Abrams released his first book Man Down: Proof Beyond a Reasonable Doubt That Women Are Better Cops, Drivers, Gamblers, Spies, World Leaders, Beer Tasters, Hedge Fund Managers, and Just About Everything Else. The book peaked at number 10 on The Washington Post bestseller list of July 17, 2011.
