A native of Mumbai, India Aarti Sequeira born Aarti Lucica Sequeira is an Indian American cook and television personality. Sequeira is mostly known for her winning on the sixth season of the Food Network’s reality cooking television show, The Next Food Network Star.
Her show Aarti Party premiered on the network after her victory in 2010. The amazing chef went on to host Taste in Translation on Cooking Channel just after her show Aarti Party made headlines. On the show, she seeks out the most popular dishes from around the world. Previously, Aarti worked as a producer for CNN News. Moreover, back in 2008, she began her own online cooking variety show titled Aarti Paarti.

Aarti Sequeira Education
In 2000, Aarti graduated from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism. After her graduation, she worked as a producer for the cable news company CNN until 2013 when she moved to Los Angeles, California. Sequeira trained at the New School of Cooking in Culver City and in 2007 earned a professional certificate. She began an online cooking variety show called Aarti Paarti in 2008. Drawing on the flavors of her childhood, Sequeira uses Indian ingredients in her cooking and credits much of her culinary inspiration to her Indian cultural background and her mother’s influence.

In 2010, Aarti joined The Next Food Network reality cooking competition show. At the time she was cast for its sixth season competing against the other 12 contestants on set. The show aired on the Food Network channel. Moreover, the show would feature an on-camera challenge to determine the winner of the show. The prize was that the winner would be awarded their own culinary show on the network.
During the show, Sequeira initially thought that it would be easier for her during the camera segments since she had some experience from her Aarti Paarti show. However, this proved not to be the case and was quite challenging to her. The judges and critics mainly got attracted to her amazing sense of humor, strong food, on-screen charisma, and bubbly personality.
Aarti was one of the chosen people for the finals of the culinary show award. During its season finale on the 15th of August, she emerged to be the winner of The Next Food Network Star show. She beat two other contestants who also reached the finals. The award being having their own show on The Food Net Work, Sequeira titled her show Aarti Party where the show focuses on sharing easy ways to enhance American favorite dishes with simple but unique Indian influences. In addition, she is a judge at Guy’s Grocery Games.
